
Provides options for setting limit quantity depending on item rarity(i.e. Limits can be refill by gold or in-game currency(giving D4 team revenue for long game development & expansions). In favor of BOP/BOT with Limits(Trade Durability) If you find a better version of your “BOP” item, you can’t trade it. Can’t give your friends freebies on the best gear. Stop freedom of trade because you can’t trade anything you want. Requires players to find copy of the better version for the “BOP” items. Stops free giveaways to players who don’t put in the work. Reduce Rare Item Inflation(including bots) in the game economy therefore making the item feel “rarer”. In favor of BOP(Bind on Pickup)/BOT(Bind on Trade) If a player drops a end game level Legendary or Set Item.
For this thread, I thought it would be valuable to share my first initial assumptions and recommendation for D4 trading criteria. Since we are in the “very” early stages of Diablo IV development, I was hoping to start a trend for creating a focused thread for different aspects of the D4 Systems and Features.
